What's A-Parent

Moms Admit Their Biggest Parenting Fails, Reminding Us It's OK To Be Imperfect

"Made my kid wait for the bus in the rain over 25 minutes before I realized there was no school that day."

What's A-Parent is a series highlighting those who get real about the hardships that come with raising kids. These often untold stories help show parents they are not alone in their struggle, and are doing an amazing job.

With too little sleep and too much on their mind, it's easy for parents to make all kinds of mistakes when it comes to their kids. Despite what you might see on social media, no one is the perfect parent. No one gets it right all the time. Dates get mixed up, lunches get forgotten, and clothes get put on backward. Everyone makes the wrong call from time to time. The important thing is that you do your best and give your children love and support.

But at least you've got a good anecdote when you do make a particularly funny, but harmless parenting mistake.

To find out what kind of hilarious parenting mistakes moms have made, parenting site Scary Mommy asked them, "What's your biggest mom fail?" They then compiled a few responses and revealed them in a short video. And they might just make you feel better about the last time you had a slip-up.

"Made my kid wait for the bus in the rain over 25 minutes before I realized there was no school that day," one mom shared.

"I have never lived down the day I brought my preschooler to school in PJs for Pajama Day only to get there and realize it was actually Field Trip Day," another mom admitted.

Who can keep track of that pesky school calendar, anyway? Or, you know, the day you birthed a baby ...

"I hosted a party on my daughter's 4th birthday ... and didn't realize I'd got the date wrong until her grandparents called the next day ... on her actual birthday ..." another mom revealed.

The video was shared on Scary Mommy's Facebook page and has been viewed over 1 million times, has more than 5,000 likes, and has been shared over 1,000 times since it was posted last week. Several moms used the comments section to reveal some of their own parenting fails.

We rounded up some of their stories and shared them below.
