Dancers Perform A Routine To A Favorite From ‘Grease,’ And The Film’s Director Approves

Celebrating the 40th anniversary of "Grease."

The Way You Move celebrates dancing and choreography videos that showcase fancy footwork in genres as diverse as ballet, hip-hop, tap, ballroom, and more. Learn a new routine the first Thursday of each month, and throughout the calendar when you get the urge to move.

The 1978 film Grease is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, and we're singing — and dancing — along.

This week, choreographer Nika Kljun released a video featuring a dance choreographed to the Grease hit, "You're the One That I Want." "I swear, this was one of the most exciting and feeling good classes I've ever taught," Kljun captioned on the footage, uploaded to YouTube.

Grease director Randal Kleiser even stopped by to watch Kljun's class at the Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles. Kljun writes that she was "absolutely honored" to have him there, adding that this made for "moments to remember."

In the video, Kljun beings by performing the choreography herself. Then, she steps back to let groups of dancers perform, cheering them on in the background. Dancers include Sean Lew, Tati McQuay, Kaycee Rice, Gabe de Guzman, and Will Simmons, to name a few.

"I love Nika's reactions when she's watching her students. You can tell they inspire her as much as she inspires them," one person comments on the video.

We love that we're still celebrating this film so many years after its release. So without further ado, check out the Kljun's full video below:
