Miley Cyrus Gets Some Help Paying Tribute To Tom Petty From Her Dad Billy Ray

Watch them perform "Wildflowers."

Miley Cyrus has had quite the week on The Tonight Show. The singer has been appearing in segments and performing on the show every day to promote her new album Younger Now. There have been fun and games — like when Cyrus and host Jimmy Fallon photobombed fans — as well as more serious moments, including a duet with Adam Sandler paying tribute to the Las Vegas shooting victims.

On Thursday night, Cyrus performed another very special duet, this time with her own father Billy Ray Cyrus. The pair paid tribute to music legend Tom Petty, who passed away earlier this week at age 66. The song they chose to sing was "Wildflowers," from Petty's 1994 album of the same name.

Cyrus performed the song earlier this week during her appearance on The Howard Stern Show. "It's just really hard for me, watching those people that I grew up with leaving … the reason why I chose this song is because, again, it's hopeful. It's hopeful rather than mourning," she said, according to Just Jared.

The 24-year-old handled lead vocals during her Tonight Show performance, showing off her strong voice as dad Billy Ray provided backup vocals and played guitar. In their hands, the song got a signature country twist.
