HAIM Covered 'Bad Liar' By Selena Gomez Using Some Pretty Creative Instruments

You can even try it at home.

We're telling the truth when we say that we love HAIM's new cover of Selena Gomez's latest single "Bad Liar." The trio of talented sisters (Este, Danielle, and Alana) was recently in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, which has been host to countless covers from music's biggest artists — including Ellie Goulding's take on Harry Styles and Ed Sheeran's acoustic spin on Little Mix.

HAIM's version of Gomez's track stays pretty faithful to the original, with one unique twist that makes us want to raid our kitchens for inspiration. While Alana handles lead vocals, Danielle uses a pair of butter knives to drum on glasses, mugs, and even a coffee tin. Este rounds things out on the bass.

Fans of the band, who recently released their second studio album Something to Tell You, shared their love for the cover in the YouTube comments.

"Damn Danielle is so fucking talented, she never ceases to surprise me," one commenter wrote about the creative choice of instruments. Another proposed that Danielle should record an entire album using kitchen utensils.

"I would like them to guest in Jimmy Fallon's segment with The Roots and Classroom Instruments," someone else suggested, and we must say we absolutely love that idea.
