Two years ago, English singer-songwriter Craig David made an appearance in BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge and seriously impressed us with his version of Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself." He transformed Bieber's simple, slow song into a groovy, upbeat jam — and even added a rap verse. Soon after David's version of the song was released, #craigdavidisback became a trending topic. The video of his performance posted to YouTube has 7.5 million views to-date.

Now, David is back in the Live Lounge and taking on another cover. For those unfamiliar with Radio 1's Live Lounge, artists typically perform one of their own songs and a cover of another artist's track. David performed his song "I Know You" alongside Bastille — and we have to admit, the song sounds even better live.

As for his cover, David performed his own version of English singer Dua Lipa's "IDGAF." Instead of simply covering the song, David responded to Lipa's lyrics from the guy she was talking to. While Lipa's version stands for "I Don't Give A Fuck," David's response version is "I Do Give A Fuck."

In her song, Lipa sings, "So I cut you off / I don't need your love / 'Cause I already cried enough / I've been done / I've been movin' on since we said goodbye / I cut you off / I don't need your love, so you can try all you want / Your time is up, I'll tell you why."

Set to same tune, David sings, "Then you cut me off / Say you don't need my love / You've already cried enough / You've been done / You say you're movin' on and this is goodbye / Then you cut me off / Say you don't need my love / You've already cried enough / Please don't give up, baby I'll tell you why."

"Hope you enjoyed my #IDGAF (I Do Give A F***) response to Dua Lipa's #IDGAF in the BBC Radio 1 #LiveLounge studio yesterday! Was fun rewriting the lyrics as the guy trying to win her back while giving his side of the story," David wrote on Facebook.
