If you were wondering which legendary artist Courtney Hadwin would choose to cover for her performance in the finals of America's Got Talent, the answer is Tina Turner. The 14-year-old covered "River Deep - Mountain High" during the first night of the show's two-part season finale.

Hadwin kept it pretty low-key for the quieter, slower portion of the song, but she broke into the chorus with a signature scream, threw off her jacket, and totally owned the stage — even approaching the judges' table at one point. There was also plenty of unique dancing.

According to People, British-born Hadwin shared before the performance that she had dreamed of coming to the United States since she was "really little," explaining, "When I was 11, I saw a James Brown video and it changed everything." However, the singer made sure to add, "I don't want to be Janis Joplin, Otis Redding, James Brown. I want to be myself."

Judge Howie Mandel, who pushed the Golden Buzzer for Hadwin during her audition, reportedly called her a "superstar in the making." Simon Cowell added, "Being a star is being remembered, and that's what you do. You're going to inspire people and tell them what rock 'n' roll is all about it."

We'll have to wait until Wednesday night's results show to learn if viewers voted her to be the winner.
