On Monday night, Jimmy Fallon took his famous "Classroom Instruments" segment to a whole new level when he and The Roots teamed up with singer Ariana Grande to perform her single "No Tears Left to Cry" using instruments created with Nintendo Labo.

The new toy allows users to make items out of cardboard to combine with the Nintendo Switch. "We made a full-on band using Labo. I love that Nintendo does stuff like this," The Tonight Show host told IGN of the unique performance, adding that Nintendo helped them create the instruments, which included guitars and pianos — and even a fishing rod.

Together, the digital instruments sounded amazing, and Grande's voice brought it all together. As one fan commented on YouTube, "How does Ariana sound even better than the studio version?! Her voice is just pure Gold!!!!" Another called the performance "absolutely iconic."

"It was totally bizarre and such a gamble. I didn't know if it was going to sound good, but Ariana is always down to try something fun and different," Fallon shared with IGN. "Anyone can do what we did really, it just takes time. Whatever you dream of, you can make it."
