This Young 'Voice' Contestant's Deeply Personal Performance Brought Her To Tears

Watch her sing "Jealous."

During Monday night's Top 10 episode of The Voice, contestant Aliyah Moulden delivered a stunning performance of "Jealous" by Labrinth that was made even more beautiful by the emotional story behind it.

In rehearsals, the 15-year-old Team Blake singer shared that her father died when she was too young to remember him, and she wishes she had the chance to connect with him like her older siblings had. Aliyah drew upon those feelings in her performance, and added to the tribute by sharing a photo on Twitter of her father holding her as a baby.

Aliyah, who was supported in the audience by her mother and grandmother, began to cry at the end of her performance, struggling to finish the last lyrics. The audience cheered her on as the song came to a close.

The young contestant's honest emotion clearly resonated with viewers. "It doesn't even matter that she couldn't finish it because her heart finished it for her," one YouTuber commenter wrote. Others shared that the performance brought them to tears as well.

Aliyah herself even commented on the video, writing to those who watched, "No words for how much I love each and every one of you. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to watch this. I appreciate you all so much and I am so so thankful."
