LGBTQ+ Pride Month

American Eagle Will Donate 100 Percent Of Its Pride Collection Sales To LGBTQ+ Causes

"It gets better."

American Eagle Outfitters and its sister brand Aerie often have fashion campaigns to promote positive messages along with their clothes. American Eagle, for example, previously launched the #ICan and "We All Can" campaign to encourage people to follow their dreams without putting restrictions on themselves.

As the collection's name suggests, the money will be donated to the It Gets Better Project — a nonprofit organization with a mission to connect, empower, and uplift LGBTQ+ youth from around the world.

American Eagle began its partnership with It Gets Better in 2017, and for the Pride 2017 collection, It Gets Better Executive Director Brian Wenke wrote on the retailer's blog, "Our partnership with American Eagle Outfitters for the #WeAllCan campaign is the perfect collaboration to ensure that LGBTQ youth know they have the potential to achieve great things and to make a tangible and positive difference in the world. And, it provides an opportunity for those who love the American Eagle Outfitters brand to wear their support of a more inclusive world!"

As part of the 2018 campaign, American Eagle is encouraging people to share their story by using the hashtag #ITGETSBETTER and including @AmericanEagle in an effort to inspire and support LGBTQ+ youth from across the country.

The collection features T-shirts, tank tops, hats, and accessories, for all genders. It features black, white, and gray pieces decorated with rainbows and positive messages including "It Gets Better," "Equality," "Super Gay," "Pride," "Proud," "Free To Be Me," and "The Future Is Equal."

American Eagle has been a supporter of pride for a couple of years. In 2014, the retailer designed one-of-a-kind T-shirts and tank tops which benefited InterPride. The 2016 Pride range also supported InterPride
