Job Description

The Account Executive is responsible for maintaining and growing an account list of the biggest digital brands from around the world. The position requires consistent achievement of quarterly sales goals, and active customer service, and always prospecting for new clients. The AE oversees the work of Sales Planner to provide excellent customer service and results for marketers and agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Generate advertising revenues in accordance with specific goals.
  • Identify and develop new advertisers.
  • Responsible for RFP direction, final delivery and sell through.
  • Build relationships and develop a significant account list of advertisers and agencies through cold calls, trade networking events, and leads generated by Sales Associate or Sales Management
  • Develop proposals, meet and present to clients and close business.
  • Maintain a spreadsheet of active accounts and revenue forecasts.
  • Negotiate pricing and placement for sales campaigns.
  • Oversee and develop Sales Planner to prioritize tasks, produce consistent deliverables and leverage resources to maximize sales.
  • Develop industry expertise in an assigned category/agency and provide sales team with updates on current trends, news, competitive analysis and advertising opportunities.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3-5 years advertising sales experience is necessary.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is needed.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills are required. Strong one on one and group presentations skills are essential. Strong knowledge of program ratings methodology is necessary.
  • A demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective business relationships is essential.

  • Manage and traffic campaigns in DFP
  • Document ad ops processes
  • Oversee media tracking and analytics set up and implementation
  • Active participation in media planning discussions regarding trafficking strategies and related operational issues
  • Troubleshoot issues with ads or tags
  • Generate, QA, and troubleshoot implementation of conversion tags
  • Help with development of YIELD strategy
  • Resolve discrepancies with Analytics team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from 4-year university or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of experience in Ad Ops
  • Experience with programmatic platforms and strategies
  • Extensive trafficking experience with Double-click and/or Sizmek
  • Understanding of rich media, dynamic creative, mobile and video ad units
  • Knowledge of HTML and/or Javascript
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills needed to work in a cross-functional company environment
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, full of initiative, and ready to roll up your sleeves
  • Extreme organizational skills and highly detail-oriented
