One Artist Creates Dreamy, Surreal Works That We Could Stare At All Day Long

"Everything you can imagine is real."

Pablo Picasso once said, "Everything you can imagine is real." And Justin Peters, a 22-year-old self-taught artist from Germany, takes that to heart.

Peters creates surreal, digital art using Photoshop, combining aspects of human life and nature in unexpected ways. In one piece, for example, a surfer approaches a warm, cloudy sky with ocean-like movement. In another, a glowing moon dribbles down the side of a mountain. Peters tells A Plus that he uses Picasso's quote both to describe his art and as a way of life.

"I use it to describe my work, but also how to go through life and think about yourself," Peters says. "... Sure, not every dream can become true, but if you're ready to work for this and believe in yourself rather than what other people say, there is always a chance to make it real or get to something similar with [a] passion that fulfills your life."

Peters tells us he draws inspiration from an array of things: nature, music, and other artists such as Salvador Dalí, especially.

When asked what he wishes people take away from his work, Peters says he hopes "they can stop and dive into another world for a moment."
