These Hand-Drawn ‘Selfies’ Have Us Wanting To Book A Trip To Bali ASAP

"Here’s our doodle story tribute for The Island of Gods."

Andreas and Felicia Hutabarat are an adventurous couple. They travel the world together, and have found a creative way to document their journey in a unique way to stand out among the saturated selfies seen across social media.

"Doodledeux is our personal project where we share our story as a couple with a little help from our caricatures, let's just all them Abang and Neng," they wrote in their first Instagram post in 2016.

The Indonesian couple has continued combining her love for doodling and his love for photography with the recent travel to their "favorite holiday spot: BALI."

"We always love Bali: the beach, the food, the people, also all those cute instagramable places to hangout," they wrote. "So here's our doodle story tribute for The Island of Gods."

Not only was their visit to Bali filled with amazing locations to photograph and doodle, but it was also where they found the perfect place to say "I do."

"When Abang & Neng went here to look for a perfect wedding venue, they knew they found the one," the couple wrote on Instagram at the Ma Joly restaurant with a beautiful sunset in the background. "So exactly 2 months from now Abang & Neng will walk down the sandy beach aisle to tie the knot. The Doodle Wedding, coming soon!"

The couple's adventures haven't only created a collection of really cool photography and art, but it's also been the glue that keeps them together.

"Since we started @doodledeux, our relationship became stronger and better, in a sense we've learnt to collaborate better with one another, also for the sake of the project," they told A Plus. "It allows us to dream bigger for our relationship and the project: to go further, travel more and finally build a future together! We're going to get married this September."

In the meantime, bask in the joy of their Bali travel filled with love, beautiful photographs and, of course, the sweetest doodles.

2. “A good cup of coffee can keep you awake when trying to meet deadlines.”

3. Capturing Neng’s favorite Indonesian food, “Sop Buntut,” or oxtail soup.

4. Brunch in Bali at high tea.

5. Revolver Bali Boutique Coffee House in Seminyak.
