Gal Gadot Shows How She Got Her On-Set Nickname With These Funny 'Wonder Woman' Bloopers

“We weren’t always so serious on Themyscira.”

Wonder Woman may be a badass superhero, but even Amazonian warriors know how to have a laugh sometimes. As actress Gal Gadot is proving on Instagram, being on the set of this summer's most empowering blockbuster was an absolute blast.

Gadot has been sharing blooper reels with fans to tease the movie's DVD extras, available on September 19. "We weren't always so serious on Themyscira," the actress wrote in one of the captions, to go along with a montage of her laughing and mugging for the camera.

In fact, Gadot's habit of laughing even earned her a nickname from co-star Chris Pine — "giggle Gadot." She adds that "Patty [Jenkins, the director] and I could communicate with no words. Instead just weird sounds and head movements."

We especially love the clip where her ice cream cone falls apart mid-take.

As Gadot wrote on Instagram, "I LOVE to laugh and I ABSOLUTELY enjoyed filming every second of the movie about the Amazonian princess."

We'll hopefully have a whole new movie's worth of bloopers to enjoy when the Wonder Woman sequel hits theaters in 2019. Jenkins was just officially announced to return as director for the film.

Not only is she back, but she's breaking more records. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jenkins will be the highest-paid female filmmaker in history, making somewhere in the $7 million to $9 million range. The news comes after what was reportedly a lengthy negotiation, as Jenkins sought to make something comparable to Zack Snyder's pay for Man of Steelversus the $1 million she made for the first film.
