If you're a woman living, breathing, and (gasp) aging in today's world, you know firsthand how youth-obsessed our current culture is — and how that obsession seems to affect one gender quite a bit more than the other. Everywhere you look — on billboards, television, social media, in magazines, commercials, and within your own friend group — you're barraged with a slew of messages telling you how important it is to look as young as possible, and all the products you absolutely must have to do it. 

At this point, you probably see more advertisements for wrinkle cream on a daily basis than some of your family or friends. Let that (not the eye cream) sink in for a minute.

Even with all the companies attempting to convince women otherwise, aging is inevitable. So why not embrace it — fine lines, gray hair, creaky joints, and all? Reddit user Kerfluffle2x4 posed that very sentiment to readers of the "Ask Women" subreddit. "If there's one thing that none of can escape from, it's age. So when the time comes for your hair to grey and joints to ache, what sort of old lady are you hoping to be?" she wrote.
