Will Smith And Jimmy Fallon's 'History Of TV Theme Songs' Is The Ultimate Throwback

"Fresh Prince" included.

Will Smith is always down to give his fans a little nostalgia — from performing "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It" in Carpool Karaoke, to recreating The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air with Ellen, to surprising Stephen Colbert's audience with "Summertime." Then on Thursday night, he and Jimmy Fallon shared the ultimate throwback with "The History of TV Theme Songs."

Smith and Fallon are already known for their "Evolution of Hip-Hop Dancing," and this latest medley just might end up beside it in the hall of fame. The pair kicks things off with a cover of "Thank You for Being a Friend" from The Golden Girls, before moving on to the themes for Good Times, Full House, I Dream of Jeannie, and more.

The songs aren't in chronological order, but that only adds to the element of surprise. Smith and Fallon make sure to add the appropriate pizzazz to each tune, including a few superhero moves for The Greatest American Hero. Things even turn black and white for The Andy Griffith Show.

And of course, no mash-up of theme songs (with or without Will Smith) would be complete without the opening to Fresh Prince. In this case, they let the audience join the fun by walking into the crowd to give out a few high-fives.
