Vin Diesel's Cover Of 'Lean On Me' Will Make You Tear Up — But Not For The Reason You Think

Alvin, Simon, Theodore, and ... Vin?

Vin Diesel joined Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Monday and, as per usual, the talk show host was able to get his guest to do something equally entertaining and hilarious.

Fallon set up the segment by noting how often the Fast and Furious actor posts karaoke videos on social media. Without even hearing what Fallon wants him to do, Diesel already begins freaking out and you can almost see the dread wash over his face.

The big twist was that the microphone the tough guy would be using had a chipmunk filter, which altered his voice from a deep bellow to a high-pitched tone — making it sound like he'd fit right in with the next Alvin and the Chipmunks film.

Diesel, ever the good sport, got front and center to perform Bill Withers' "Lean on Me" against a green screen that featured waterfalls, beach sunsets, and silhouettes of people in love. This, of course, added to the hilarity of what was going on.

Just to give you a taste of what the Guardians of the Galaxy star can do when he's able to use his actual voice, here's him covering Rihanna's "Stay" on Valentine's Day 2013:

Then came Diesel singing Maroon 5's "My Heart is Open" for Valentine's Day 2015:

And, more recently, here's Diesel singing Selena Gomez's "It Ain't Me," a duet with Kygo, in February 2017:

Keep on singing and slaying us!
