Soon Your Car Could Be Running On Trash, And That's A Very Very Good Thing

So innovative.

It's hard to think about trash as a positive thing, but one scientist named Gerardo Nungaray may just change your mind about garbage entirely. He has found a way to turn the things you dispose of every day into fuel.

Even without a formal chemistry background, he was able to create a machine that converts plastics into gasoline and diesel fuel using a process called pyrolysis. This process heats and breaks down the substances into petroleum.

The fuel can be used for any vehicle, and the best part about it? The process to create it does not harm the environment.
