Tiffany Haddish Channels James Brown In A Heated Lip Sync Battle Against Jimmy Fallon

"Can we make it look like old-school TV?"

As much as we love Lip Sync Battle the series for its over-the-top performances, we still hold a special place in our hearts for Jimmy Fallon's original segment on The Tonight Show. This week, he welcomed actress and comedian Tiffany Haddish to show off her lip-syncing skills against him, and she totally brought it.

Both competitors brought some '90s flair to the first round, with Fallon getting down to the 1990 jam "Groove Is in the Heart" by Deee-Lite, and Haddish breaking out Lady of Rage's "Afro Puffs" from 1994. She had the perfect oversized jacket to complete the look.

But it was in the second round that things really got going. Fallon went more modern for his choice, performing Post Malone's "Psycho," and stopping the song to apply face tattoos. Haddish, on the other hand, went a little further back for her final song inspiration, choosing James Brown's "Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine" from 1970.

"Can we make it look like old-school TV, like the first time people ever saw James Brown perform?" Haddish asked, and got her wish to be in black and white. She went all out with Brown-esque dance moves, and even donned (and then dramatically removed) a cape at one point. We'd call that an instant classic.
