This 3-Year-Old Boy Didn't Care About Military Protocol: He Just Wanted To Hug His Mom

There are no rules for a mom's love.

Minnesota NBC affiliate Kare 11 news reported a heartwarming story of three-year-old Cooper Waldvogel who ran to greet his mom, Katheryn Waldvogel, upon her return from a nine month deployment in Afghanistan.

Cooper's mom serves with the Minnesota National Guard's 114th Transportation Company and his father, Adam, is with the 850th Horizontal Engineers. The overlap of their deployments, Kare 11 points out, means that Cooper has been without both parents in the same place for a third of his life.
