Taylor Swift Had A Message Of Hope During A Concert Held At The Site Of A Terrorist Attack

"It is such an honor to play for you tonight."

During a U.K. concert during her Reputation Tour, singer Taylor Swift sent a beautiful message to Manchester before breaking into song.

"You've shown that you're never gonna let anyone forget about those victims. And you've shown that you have such incredible resilience to keep dancing, and to keep the innocence and to keep the joy and to keep the excitement. I just wanted to say Manchester: It is such an honor to play for you tonight," Swift can be heard saying in a video as she plays her guitar. People reports that she then went on to sing an acoustic version of her song, "Dancing With Our Hands Tied."

Swift is referring to the victims of a bombing that occurred in Manchester during Ariana Grande's Dangerous Woman Tour concert last year. The tragedy claimed the lives of 22 people and injured many more. Afterward, Grande returned to the city for a benefit concert called One Love Manchester and raised money for the families of the victims. Grande has recently spoken about the attack and how it affected her.

We love that Swift has used her Reputation Tour to send important messages to fans and those watching. Just last week, Swift sent a message to LGBTQ fans during her Chicago performance, addressing Pride Month.

"And so, this month and every month, I want to send out my love and respect to everybody who has been brave enough to be honest about how they feel [and] to live their lives as they are, as they feel they should be, as they identify," Swift said. "And this is a month where I think we need to celebrate how far we've come, [but] we also need to acknowledge how far we still have left to go."
