This School Nurse Makes It Rain Band-Aids In A Parody Of Adele's 'Hello' That'll Have You In Stitches

"Hello," nurse!

One school nurse is making us all feel better with a major dose of internet virality. Kelli Petersen — who cares for students grades K-12 in the school district of Mediapolis, Iowa — is celebrating National School Nurse Day (May 10) by starring in a video parody of "Hello" by Adele.

In the video, Petersen lets us know what it's actually like being a school nurse, having to deal with kids claiming to not be feeling well. Petersen, of course, pokes fun at how school nurses have to master the art of figuring out if what they're being told is the truth or not.

Petersen changes the lyrics to Adele's mega-hit to adapt to everything that comes with the job, from tummy aches to go home and headaches to avoid tests. Plus there's all the bumps and bruises that come with schooltime fun — but, don't worry, because the school nurse hurries to the rescue with a Band-Aid.

Petersen enlisted her husband, Matt, to shoot the video, and their 8-year-old daughter, Sophie, to appear in it. While it pokes fun at Petersen's job, she tells WQAD 8 that "this is by far the best job I've ever had" from her 20 years of being in the medical field.
