Watch This Police Officer Take Time Off His Lunch Break To Play Hopscotch With A Little Girl

"We can do what we want on our breaks, correct? Child's game, phooey!"

For police officer Lyle Gensler, break time means game time.

On April 19, he took time off from his lunch break to play hopscotch with a little girl he noticed while driving by. After exchanging waves with the girl, Lensler got out of his car to join her. The duo had a hopping good time facing off in a friendly battle of the squares.

The former marine and current member of the Grand Prairie Police Department shared of the video of their game, with a caption, "We can do what we want on our breaks, correct? Child's game, phooey!" to his Twitter page. According to his bio, Gensler uses the social media platform to show "the human side of [his] profession."

In a time where positive relationships between the police force and the communities they serve are more important than ever, these moments, while small, are nonetheless significant.

And hey, they're pretty darn cute, too.
