7 Notes-To-Self That Serve As Important Reminders To Keep Going

No. 6 is so important.

Every now and then, we get lost in our own little worlds. In the midst of all the business that is life, we can forget how to be present, how to be good to ourselves and to others, and the important lessons that help us stay grounded. It's times like these we may need a self check-in to figure out how to move forward and change the narrative.

You'd be surprised at how much power you can gain from transforming your narrative. When things don't go your way, think about why it didn't. Maybe you should've done something differently, maybe you weren't as ready as you thought you were, or maybe you thought something was one way, when really it was another. Maybe there's something better waiting for you in a different time or location. Whatever the realization is, receive that message and use it to move forward and to be better.

So, if you're going through a breakup, staring at a crossroads, in search of life's meaning, or just in need of a pick-me-up, you can take comfort knowing you're not alone, and that others are likely going through the same thing. To pull yourself up, sometimes just having a few notes-to-self that serve as reminders of your own worth can make all the difference.  Such notes remind us of what worked and what didn't. They give us room to forgive ourselves. They show us who we are. If you allow it, they can also be a great source of empowerment and confidence.

If you're in need of some inspiration of how to stay positive, check out these important notes-to-self, culled from Tumblr.

1. Don't focus on the negative.

2. Healing is not easy.

3. When you know better, you do better.

4. You can restart at any time.

5. Don't rush the process.

6. You are worthy of all the things you want.

7. Make the first step.
