Any 'Harry Potter' Fan Can Appreciate This Mother's Epic Response When Asked Why Her Kid Missed School

An absent note worth framing.

Sure, kids can conjure up an array of false excuses as to why they missed class, but one mother's telling it like it is.

"My nephew missed three days of school to go to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter," Reddit user CaptainOutstanding wrote in a post. "Afterward, the school made my sister fill out this 'attendance behavior improvement plan.'"

The Reddit user then attached a photo of the completed plan with her sister's clever responses.

Under the section reading "What is the nature of the student's attendance problem," the child's mother wrote: "Student was attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry."

And when asked to elaborate, she naturally wrote:

"Student was learning defense against the dark arts."

Touché, touché.
