These Morning Tips From Celebrities Can Help You Wake Up Feeling Like An Overnight Success

Lights. Camera. Morning!

1. Meditate like Ellen.

"Twenty minutes of meditation in the morning is a nice way to start my day," Ellen DeGeneres said. "If you can actually sit still and really get to that place of silence, you realize what's important and what's not important."

Since incorporating this daily practice into her morning routine, the little things don't bother her anymore. Because meditation helps her focus on her priorities, she's better prepared to take on whatever comes her way — from dancing celebs to Presidential Medals of Freedom. You know, the usual.

2. Bond like Gwyneth.

For Gwyneth Paltrow, her day begins with the best people in the actress's life: her family. "Mornings and afternoons are my family time, and I'm lucky that I can drop the kids off at school," she once said. Her commitment to her family is so strong that she only does one film a year in order to spend as much time with them as possible.

3. Eat like Shaq.

Shaquille O'Neal might dunk on the basketball court, but he doesn't run on Dunkin'. In an interview with Bon Appetit, he revealed he'd actually never drunk a cup of coffee in his entire life. Let that sink in for a minute.

Instead, orange juice helps him jump-start — or rather, jump shot — his day. "I live in Florida, so we get the fresh stuff," he explained. O'Neal pairs his OJ with an egg white omelet. Eating healthy, especially first thing in the morning, has been a priority to the athlete throughout his career. Now, he hopes to fuel the athletes of tomorrow with "healthy food programs for kids."

Not only are these tips tried and true, they're totally doable. Most importantly, they prove you definitely don't have to be a celebrity to start your day feeling like one.
