People Are Loving This Kid's Reaction To Finally Getting Adopted After Spending 832 Days In Foster Care

When Michael Brown was just 18 months old, he was taken into the foster home of Tara Montgomery. Montgomery and her two daughters were Brown's third foster family. According to The Huffington Post, the original plan was for Brown to be reunited with his biological mother, but after 832 days in foster care, that plan fell through, and Montgomery was able to officially adopt the toddler on Dec. 20 in Phoenix.

A photo of his adoption is going viral thanks to the amazing look on his face.

"He was so excited on the day," said one of his sisters, according to the video above. "I don't think he truly understood what being adopted meant. He just knew he was being adopted."

HuffPost reports that while Montgomery did not originally plan on adopting Brown, she had a change of heart after getting to know the little boy. "As a single parent, I was not looking to adopt, just to help kids during transition," she told the publication. "But that changed with Michael. It felt like he was a part of our family right from the start."

Congratulations to the whole family!
