Meghan Trainor Proves What A Pro She Is In James Corden's Music Video Challenge

They speed it up to slow it down.

If you ever think artists have it easy filming music videos, just watch Meghan Trainor take on James Corden's recent challenge on The Late Late Show. The host asked the "All About That Bass" star to shoot a slow-motion music video in front of his audience. But it's more complicated than you might think.

In order to make Trainor look like she was lip-synching the song at normal speed, even while her movements were slowed down, Corden played the song 2.5 times as fast and asked Trainor to mouth along. She was backed up by both the host himself and bandleader Reggie Watts, who threw confetti and banged drums while Trainor danced against a blue screen.

Trainor took Corden's challenge and mouthed along to her song "Me Too," which sounded high-pitched and unrecognizable at 250 percent speed. You might think it would be impossible for Trainor to keep up with the accelerated speed — but when you see the resulting music video played back in slow motion, you'll be eating your hat.

"If I was you, I'd wanna be me too," Trainor sings on the track, and we have to agree with her after seeing how she handled this. Those confetti showers were totally deserved.
