This Woman Is Recreating Famous Paintings Using Cakes As Her Canvas

Too flawless to eat.

Recently, we introduced you to artist Maria A. Aristidou after she illustrated incredible portraits using spilt coffee

Now, she's creating art in another unusual way. She's transforming layer cakes into recreations of masterpieces from some of the world's greatest artists.

Aristidou creates the gorgeous cakes for the Vienna Boutique Cake Gallery in Larnaca, Cyprus. Each cake is baked using the shop's famous chocolate recipe and covered in sugar paste. Then she uses edible paints to make the cakes look like the famous works of painters such as Picasso, Dalí and Monet.

Each cake can take between six to 10 hours to complete, but her hard work definitely shines through at the end.

See for yourself:

1. "The Starry Night" by Vincent van Gogh

2. "The Persistence of Memory" by Salvador Dalí

3. "Water Lilies" by Claude Monet

4. "The Scream" by Edvard Munch

5. "Girl Before Mirror" by Pablo Picasso

Yep, she's totally killing it.
