This Woman Sends A Poignant Message About Aging Through Loving Her Gray Hair

"Some of us don't even get an opportunity to age."

In the past, we've covered women like Cher, Cindy Crawford, and Jennifer Aniston who have spoken out about ageism, and society's tendency to promote anti-aging mechanisms to slow down a woman's natural, maturing process.

Now, in a video for Allure magazine, one 64-year-old is sharing her thoughts on why aging is beautiful, and how she learned to love her gray hair.

Jo-Ani Johnson begins by recalling a time her boss commented on her changing hair color. Immediately, she felt the need to dye it. But now, after letting her hair turn its natural color, she finds herself advising other women to do the same.

Moreover, she sees her 89-year-old mother as a source of inspiration: "I can see where I am going, and it's beautiful."

At the end of the video, Johnson asks herself: "Would I change anything?"

"No ... my days are what is given to me and making the best of each and every one of them," she says. "And I don't know what tomorrow may bring. Some of us don't even get an opportunity to age."
