Dave Grohl Helps Kristen Bell Put A Rock 'N' Roll Twist On 'Do You Want To Build A Snowman?'

And they did it all for Grohl's daughters.

If there's one mash-up you probably never considered, it's Frozen and Metallica. But somehow, Kristen Bell and Dave Grohl made it work on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Tuesday night — while wearing Halloween costumes, no less.

The Foo Fighters frontman was filling in for host Jimmy Kimmel, dressed like another (former) late-night host, David Letterman, in a pretty spot-on costume. Bell, meanwhile, was dressed as Tom Selleck in Magnum, P.I. Despite the chest hair and mustache, Grohl said that talking to the Frozen star would be "the biggest deal" to his three daughters.

"If I were to jam a song with you, I would become the coolest dad ever," he said, and Bell was totally up for it.

Things started out as you might expect, with Bell delivering a sweet piano-backed performance of "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" But then Grohl hopped on the drums, and things suddenly took on a very different tone.

After singing a few lines of the beloved Frozen song in her best hard rock voice, Bell transitioned into Metallica's "Enter Sandman," with the help of house band Cleto and the Cletones — who were dressed as '80s music icons such as Prince and Madonna. And yes, she even changed "sandman" to "snowman." It may not have been what Grohl's daughters were expecting, but when your dad is Dave Grohl, you can't be too surprised.
