After Finding Out Her Son's Morning Routine, She Decided To Share It With The World

"It's something so simple, yet has the potential to profoundly change his life."

A good morning routine can benefit our overall productivity and help us have a happier day. Whether you practice power posing and smiling in the morning, or get in a good workout and say affirmations, these practices can make all the difference. 

Mom Lauren Cormier noticed her 9-year-old son had his own morning routine, and when she found out what it was, she decided to share it on her Facebook page, Oh, Honestly so others could also benefit. 

"Last week my 9-year-old told me about a new habit he's starting to form. It's something so simple, yet has the potential to profoundly change his life," Cormier writes. 

Every morning, Cormier's son thinks of a couple of little things he's looking forward to.

"In effect, he's training his mind to focus on the positive, which in turn, improves his entire attitude and outlook," she explains.

One morning, she even decided to extend the practice to the rest of the kids she drove to school, asking them what they were each looking forward to that day. 

"Our attitudes will make or break our day, week, month, year, LIFE. And although I believe that some people are naturally inclined to a sunnier outlook than others, I also believe that we can train ourselves to focus on the positive instead of the negative."

Finally, Cormier asks her readers to try it for themselves. "I bet it won't take long to notice an improvement in your attitude, and in turn, your life," she says.
