This Girl Will Eventually Lose Her Hearing — So Her Idol Did This For Her

This past weekend, Taylor Swift performed in Sydney, Australia in front of 76,000 people.

But for one girl in the crowd, the night was so much more than just a concert.

Jorja Hope was just 12 when she was diagnosed with a condition that would cause progressive hearing loss, Mashable reports. Eventually, Jorja will be completely deaf.

According to The Maitland Mercury, her first words following the diagnosis expressed disappointment that she'd never hear Taylor Swift sing.

So Jorja's sister, Chloe, started a community Facebook page entitled: "Help Jorja Meet Taylor Swift In Sydney 2015" with the hope that her sister's story would go viral and reach superstar Swift herself.

The page grew quickly, gaining nearly 4,000 likes in about two months and drawing some much-needed attention using the hashtag #HelpJorjaMeetTaylorSwiftSydney.

Finally, Jorja's wish was granted.

Thanks to radio station Nova 96.9, Jorja headed to ANZ Stadium in Sydney to hear Swift's performance and meet her idol backstage.

"It was very, very fun, we danced all night," Jorja told Swift even posted a photo wearing a sweater hand-knitted by one of her fans.

And we're sure this weekend's events in Sydney are ones Jorja will never forget.
