Author J.K. Rowling Has A Message Of Hope For Anyone Feeling Down This Holiday Season

"Everything changes. Nothing is forever."

We admire author J.K. Rowling for more than just creating the magical world of Harry Potter. We're also consistently impressed with how often she uses her voice to bring attention to important causes and share positive messages with her fans.

So it was no surprise that Rowling took to Twitter over the weekend to share a Christmas message with her followers. However, instead of simply wishing everyone a merry holiday or showing off her own celebration, Rowling acknowledged that, while this is certainly a joyous season for many, it isn't so easy for everyone.

Rowling tweeted that she had heard from people who were having a tough time this holiday season. She shared that, while she now feels "blessed," she has experienced a difficult Christmas of her own in the past, and "found it hard to believe that my unhappiness would pass."

But she has a message of hope for anyone who is suffering, to let them know that things will get better. "Everything changes. Nothing is forever," she wrote. "You never know what the future holds. Astonishing reversals of fortune happen every minute."

Rowling herself is proof of that. She was a single mother receiving state benefits while working on her first Harry Potter novel. And just look at her now.
