Jimmy Fallon's #DecorationDisaster Tweets Remind Us The Holidays Don't Have To Be Perfect

"Our tree is a monument to all my failed relationships."

It's finally December, and if you celebrate any upcoming holidays, you might be in the process of putting up decorations. If you feel pressured to make everything look Instagram-perfect, we suggest checking out a few tweets with Jimmy Fallon's latest hashtag, #DecorationDisaster.

Fallon asked his Tonight Show viewers to share their funniest stories about holiday decorating, and as always, they didn't disappoint. There were memories of a headless waving Santa, a knock-off Elf on the Shelf, and crime scene snowmen — not to mention the tree that looked like it was at the hair salon. Many viewers even shared photo evidence, and we can't stop laughing.

The tweets are a great reminder that the holidays don't have to be perfect. In fact, they're often more fun when things are a little off-kilter. After all, it got these Twitter users a spot on The Tonight Show. And if nothing else, just be glad your parents haven't made a tree full of ornaments commemorating all of your ex-boyfriends, like one viewer experienced.
