Houston Volunteers Are Providing Medical Supplies To Immigrants With Spinal Cord Injuries

"We are together in good and bad situations."

As part of A Plus' initiative, The New Americans, which aims to bring awareness about the contributions immigrants have in our communities, we spoke to Francisco Arguelles, the Executive Director of Living Hope Wheelchair Association.

"We provide access to medical supplies to immigrants who suffer from spinal cord injuries," Arguelles explained.

The organization was founded 12 years ago and serves over 60 people every month. Arguelles said the organization, which is run by volunteers, fosters a community as well as provides supplies.

\"We help anyone that shows up. We are happy to provide," Arguelles said.
