Family Captures The Pains Of Doing Algebra Homework With Hilarious Parody Of Toto's 'Africa'

"It's such a pain learning algebra ... "

Homework isn't just difficult for students; it can be a challenge for the parents helping them, too. And when it comes to algebra homework, everyone tends to get stumped.

To highlight some of those pesky challenges while doing algebra homework, the Holderness Family made a hilarious song about it to the tune of Toto's "Africa."

The family has recently parodied the Game of Thrones theme song with an acapella version to highlight life's day-to-day-struggles. Plus, they celebrated the kids going back to school with a funny riff on 50 Cent's "In Da Club."

The "Africa" parody is equally hilarious. It begins with mom, Kim, doing homework with her daughter, Lola. She's trying to explain what a variable is, but she's having some difficulty.

Dad is spying on the duo from behind a plant and sings, "A wild mom cries out in the night / as she grows restless trying to explain what is a variable."

Their frustrations grows as he sings that they're at the point where he and his wife can no longer help because they've forgotten the math including what an integer is. He sings, "Neither of them can get it right / Switching numbers into letters is super duper 'terrible.'"

The video ends with Kim attempting to eat the alegbra homework after she ate all of the Pirate's Booty.

The family wrote on YouTube, "Dear Math, We do know that you are important to learn, and you are an integral part in millions of people's careers, and those who teach you deserve a special place in heaven. But we aren't very good at you, and rhyming Africa with Algebra was just too much fun. No hard feelings, mmmmkay? Sincerely, the Holderness Family."
