Elderly Couple, 92 And 80, Fall In Love At Speed Dating Event

"You get old, and you can sit and die, or you can get out and do things."

Renee Weiss and Miles Miller are one couple that's proving we can find love at any age.

Weiss, 80, and Miller, 92, met and fell in love at a speed dating event held at a retirement community event last October, Action News Jax reports. They have been together ever since.

In an interview with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Weiss and Miller spoke about their connection and current relationship. Weiss had been married for 56 years prior to meeting Miller. Her ex-husband passed away five years ago, and she hadn't been dating afterward. But Weiss decided to go to the speed dating event, and the rest is history.

"I was sitting at table No. 3 and it was his turn to come to Table 3. We talked. And you had a little piece of paper in front of you, and if you said you sort of liked a guy and he liked you, you put a mark there. And at the end, we both liked each other," Weiss said. "Then he called and we went to dinner. We went to dinner and he kept calling and I kept going out with him ... We just came together so easily and enjoyed each other's company and we liked the same things."

Miller also adds that the two just returned from a cruise together.

When asked how meeting each other now has affected them, Miller says that it's helped them maintain a happy and fulfilling lifestyle. They get to do "things together instead of staying home [and] staying sorry for ourselves and so forth."

"To get out and do something, and plan ahead. If you don't plan ahead, you are not living," he adds.

"You get old, and you can sit and die, or you can get out and do things and if you get do things and are happy, and you can make other people happy. Making other people happy makes us happy."

This isn't the first time that couples have proved it's never too late to fall in love: last year, we reported on one grandmother who reunited with her high school boyfriend after losing her husband. We also covered two high school sweethearts who reunited and married 64 years after their prom.

We wish Weiss and Miller a happy life together!
