“Throughout history, women have been resilient, but we will not stop fighting.”

Women Stole A Celebratory Moment At The State Of The Union Address

The moment in President Donald Trump's Feb. 5 State of the Union address that drew the biggest cheer came when he celebrated the rise of women in the workforce and Congress.

"All Americans can be proud that we have more women in the workforce than ever before," he said. "And exactly one century after Congress passed the constitutional amendment giving women the right to vote, we also have more women serving in Congress than at any time before."

In response, the newly elected women in the House of Representatives and Senate broke out in "USA!" chants. The Democratic women were wearing white outfits to recognize the suffragettes who fought for women's right to vote.
