Doctor Surprises A Family Dressed As The Joker, Proceeds To Deliver Their Baby

"'Aw, we were hoping you wouldn't change!'"

In a post shared on the Love What Matters Facebook page, a dad named Justin Selph showed what happened when he and his wife showed up at the hospital a few days early to deliver their baby.  Selph's wife water broke the morning of Halloween, so they headed to the hospital around 12:30 p.m.

"Brittany's doctor came in to meet with us, and that's when we found out he was dressed for Halloween as the Joker," Selph writes. "We found it very humorous and a little exciting that we would have a baby delivered by the Joker."

Selph adds that his wife wasn't ready to give birth at the time, so the doctor decided to head home, pass out candy and change clothes.

"My wife said 'Aw, we were hoping you wouldn't change!' "

So when the doctor returned back a few hours later, he showed up in character, wearing his full Joker look.

"The next morning, he came in to check on Brittany, and he said 'Sorry I couldn't make it in last night, glad to see the delivery went well.' Joking of course. He also gave her a card of congratulations, and he signed it, 'Dr. Joker.'"

Selph also shared photos from the day, which included their doctor dressed in a long sleeve shirt, with a green vest, bright long hair, and the Jokers' classic red smile. The doctor's face is also painted white with dark black eye makeup to complete the look.

"This was awesome!! A wonderful birth story to tell our child! I just don't know if I could have looked him in the eye!!" one person comments on the family's story.
