A Creative Video Artist Shows Us What Cooking Videos Would Look Like If Made By Big-Time Directors

The Quentin Tarantino one is a little messy.

We're all aware of the excitement and sheer visual genius created by superstar filmmakers Wes Anderson, Quentin Tarantino, Alfonso Cuarón, and Michael Bay. But can you imagine them in bringing their skills to the kitchen, serving up cooking videos in their signature style of moviemaking?

In that case, making a bowl of spaghetti and meatballs might get a little messy with Tarantino, while the traditional, yummy s'mores snack may be meticulous at the hands of Anderson.

This is the imagery freelance foodie-for-hire David Ma considered when crafting his latest food films — a series of short movies inspired by the cinema greats while showing the creation of some go-to cuisines.

While Tarantino makes a gory mess of his dish and Anderson compiles s'mores with step-by-step precision, Cuarón perfects pancakes in slow motion and Bay creates explosive waffles with a death-defying approach.

Check out the videos for yourself ... and be thankful that you won't need goggles.
