Instead Of A Ticket, He Received Life-Changing News From The Cop Who Pulled Him Over

"The reason why I stopped you is you've got a child in the car with no child seat."

In a video posted to the YouTube channel Cop Cam, two police officers from the Hurst Police Department in Texas are seen pulling over Jarred, a U.S. Army veteran. Jarred's wife, Nikki, was in the passenger seat watching the whole thing unfold.

Jarred, a U.S. Army veteran, is pulled over by cops from the Hurst Police Department while Nikki is in the passenger seat. One of the police officers shakes Jarred's hand and exchanges pleasantries before telling him why he pulled him over.

"Well, I've got to be honest. The reason why I stopped you is you've got a child in the car with no child seat," he says.

"I don't have a child in my car," Jarred replies confused.

"Are you sure about that? Are you positive? Are you saying I goofed?" the police officers asks.

Jared is sure, until his wife chimes in with some surprising news that completely shocks him.

Nikki pulls out a positive pregnancy test and holds it up. "We do have a child in the car with no car seat," she says.

The other police officer comes toward the passenger side of the car and hands the couple a gift bag with a onesie and teddy bear inside. The bear is holding a card that reads, "Dad, see you on your birthday."

"I'm due on your birthday!" Nikki reveals.

Jarred is clearly overwhelmed with emotion — surprised, happy, and perhaps still a little confused. But the whole thing is incredibly sweet, especially considering how challenging the past few months had been for Jarred.

"I've been struggling with my psychological disorders; being admitted to an inpatient hospital twice within the last six months and numerous Emergency Room visits due to panic and anxiety attacks," Jarred wrote online, according to the video's description. "I actually met the officers in the video during a very traumatic panic episode in November 2016 and ever since he's become a great advocate for my family and I."

We're glad Nikki came up with a creative way to include the officers who have become an important part of the couple's life.
