Chris Pratt And Chris Stapleton Had The Time Of Their Lives With A 'Dirty Dancing' Classic

Yes, there was a lift.

What do you get when you have two guys named Chris and a beloved duet? One epic late-night talk show moment, that's what. Chris Pratt — while filling in for Jimmy Kimmel — joined forces with Chris Stapleton to take on the Dirty Dancing theme "(I've Had) The Time of My Life."

Guillermo spun "The Wheel of Cheesy Duet Songs" and it landed on this '80s classic — with Paula Abdul's "Opposites Attract" and "A Whole New World" from Aladdin being two of the other possibilities. The Chrises belted out the lyrics and nailed the 1987 tune (which won the Oscar for Best Original Song that year), originally performed by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes.

Singing wasn't enough for these guys, though. Toward the end of the song, they decided to attempt that iconic lift from Dirty Dancing where Johnny (played by Patrick Swayze) picks Baby (played by Jennifer Grey), with Pratt assuming the role of the former and Stapleton the latter. After two failed attempts, they finally pulled it off with the assist of some TV magic.

2017 has been a big year for both Chrises. Pratt was Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 while also filming 2018's Avengers: Infinity War and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Stapleton released two albums in 2017, and is nominated for a grand total of three 2018 Grammys including ones for Best Country Album, Best Country Solo Performance, and Best Country Song.

This moment, though, will be a memorable one for quite some time.
