This Family Recreates Scenes From Your Favorite Films Using Cardboard Boxes. Here Are 17 Of These Best Photos.

"With our social lives drastically altered we decided to find a way to make some of those housebound weekends a little more fun."

Husband and wife Leon Mackie and Lilly Lang found a creative way to share their passion for films and bond with their son, Orson. In their project Cardboard Box Office, the family recreates moments from beloved films and TV shows, and shares them on their Instagram.

"The project began after finding that we had accumulated both a lot of cardboard boxes (due to moving to a new country) and a baby (due to giving birth). With our social lives drastically altered, we decided to find a way to make some of those housebound weekends a little more fun," the family wrote on their website dedicated to the project. "The costumes, props, and sets in Cardboard Box Office are created entirely out of everyday household items, toys, cardboard, and three individuals slowly losing their sanity."

Now that the couple has welcomed another son, Elliot, they plan to continue to create these images with his help, too. So far, the family has covered everything from Oscar-winning films to cult classics to the TV shows people won't shut up about. The project shows that with a little creativity, and a large supply of moving boxes, you can make moments that your family (and maybe even some strangers on the internet) will remember for years to come.
