Bruce Springsteen Invited This Lucky Teen To Play On Stage With Him In Concert

"You know it on guitar?"

Australian teenager Nathan Testa had an experience that would make multiple generations envious when music icon Bruce Springsteen invited him on stage to perform during a Brisbane concert last week.

Springsteen had spotted the 14-year-old's sign in the crowd, which read, "Missed school, in the shit now, can I play 'Growin' Up' with you?"

"Do you know the song?" Springsteen asked. "You do? You know it on guitar? You do? Come on up."

Nathan may have missed school, but he got quite the lesson from his idol, who provided him with a guitar and gave him room on the mic to sing the tune, from Springsteen's 1973 album Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J. Part of the way through the performance, Springsteen — who's already proven to have a great rapport with his fans — paused to give Nathan some advice.

"When I was your age, I got my first guitar. I brought it home, and I realized it wasn't about how well you played it. It was about how good you looked doing it. So I got in front of the mirror and I tried out some different poses," he said before demonstrating.

If you can believe it, this isn't even the teen's first time on stage with The Boss. His father told the Sydney Morning Herald that this has happened three times, the first being in 2013 when he was just 11. He explained that Nathan's schoolmates weren't particularly impressed, but his teachers were "going crazy over it."
