When This Little Girl Got Nervous In A Car Wash, Her Big Brother Stepped Up

"See, it's not so scary."

Going through a car wash can be a scary experience for anyone — especially for a little kid who's not used to seeing those intense pressure washers and big blue floppy things that spin around like crazy.

In a YouTube video posted by mom Alyssa Price, we see her two kids having quite different reactions to the experience.

"We are going to get home very fast," Price's 4-year-old son Declan told his 2-year-old sister Raleigh, who was clearly getting upset. After Raleigh started crying, her brother continued to reassure her they'd be OK, and that "it's not so scary."

The sweet exchange shows just how important encouraging words can be, especially if they are coming from a sibling.

By the end of it, Declan showed Raleigh they were home-free. She stopped crying and her eyes lit up.

"Do you want to do that again sometime?" Declan asked Raleigh. She responded "Yes."

"He's always showing me how to be a better mom, and how to be kind," Price told Today, adding that Declan's preschool teachers have helped bring out "her son's sweet side."

"They know how to talk to the kids about emotions and how to get on their level and talk them through anything," she added.
