When His Girlfriend Couldn't Make Their Maternity Shoot, This Guy Made A Food Baby

"I felt it was only right to at least try to look a little pregnant, so we grabbed some McDonald's and off we were ..."

They say, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade." Well, when life gave Nick Roberts a pregnant girlfriend who forgot about the couple's maternity photo shoot (pregnancy brain at its best), and had already scheduled other plans ... he made a food baby.

"I felt it was only right to at least try to look a little pregnant, so we grabbed some McDonald's and off we were," he wrote in a Facebook post on Love What Matters. "If I'm being completely honest, the setting, the occasion, the awful cramps from the double cheeseburgers ... it all brought me so much closer to the pregnancy."

Taken by photographer Stephen Cwiok against a dramatic rocky beach background, the photographs of Roberts looking wistfully into the distance, while cradling a soda and a bag of McDonald's, can only be described as majestic ... even with a side of indigestion.

"I'll never know what being in labor feels like, but I feel in my heart, it can't be too far away from eating A LOT of fast food," he concluded. "I'm truly blessed to have had this eye-opening experience."

We'll just let him keep on believing that until he's in the delivery room and has lost all feeling in his hand from his girlfriend squeezing it so tightly to get through the pain. Here's hoping he gets some priceless pictures out of that experience, too.
