13 Things You Can Start Doing Right Now To Better Your Life

There's a quote from Dalai Lama XIV that says: "There are only two days in the year that nothing can be done. One is called Yesterday and the other is called Tomorrow. Today is the right day to love, believe, do and mostly live."

Every day, many of us strive to accomplish our short-term goals: finish a book, get some exercise, create the best possible presentation to show to our boss. But what are some things we can start right now that will benefit our lives in the long run?

On Monday, Reddit user Matt_Nutt posed this question on Ask Reddit: "What is something that you can start right now to improve your life?" With that, people started adding simple, yet effective, things they've done to better themselves. Hopefully, someone else can benefit from their advice, too.

For example, one person suggests that we "don't care about the opinions of people with a negative attitude." Another person reminds us to hydrate because, well, it's super important
