Yanis Marshall has always loved high heels.
The talented choreographer (and one-time "Britain's Got Talent" contestant) told A Plus the first pair he ever tried on was his mother's, and he hasn't looked back since.
"It has always symbolized a perfect expression of both strength and fragility," he said over email. "It also represents a way of being different, in life and in Dance as well. It says out loud that I'm free and comfortable with who I am, no matter what people think."
Since Marshall's time on the "BGT" stage, videos of him slaying it to the likes of Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, and Ciara have racked up millions of views on YouTube — each. He said that he's received messages from people all around the world thanking him for his work, and for showing them that it's OK to be different.
"If there two things that I wish people (not only young people) would take away from seeing my work, it would be more self-confidence and more freedom in being who they want to be," he told A Plus. "Life is short and beautiful so we have to make the most of it now, not tomorrow!"
