Taylor Swift Releases ‘Call It What You Want' And It's The Most Taylor Swift Song Yet

"My baby's fit like a daydream."

We're just a week away from Taylor Swift's Reputation — November 10, to be exact — and yet we're still being blessed with new songs teasing the highly anticipated album. The latest release, "Call It What You Want," is perhaps the most Taylor Swift song yet when compared to "Look What You Made Me Do" and "... Ready For It."

At midnight last night, Swift dropped "Call It What You Want" — which is musically more in the vein of "Gorgeous" — and its accompanying lyric video. In it, we see the words TayTay is singing in a typewriter font as well as in handwriting. Check it out here:

The lyrics themselves, as People points out, seem to harken back to some drama but is mostly about Swift's current relationship with actor Joe Alwyn. It goes: "My baby's fit like a daydream / Walking with his head down / I'm the one he's walking to / So call it what you want, yeah / Call it what you want to." And then it goes: "My baby's fly like a jet stream/ High above the whole scene/ Loves me like I'm brand new / So call it what you want, yeah / Call it what you want to."

Fans have also pointed out some lyrical connections to two other previous Swift songs, "Love Story" off 2008's Fearless and "Clean" off 2014's 1989. See the proof for yourself:

To further tease "Call It What You Want" — and to give us a glimpse into what we might expect from the music video — Swift shared a clip featuring footage from the last year. We see the 27-year-old in situations referenced in the song as well as just living life, playing the guitar, and celebrating a birthday.

Maybe the music video will be entirely home footage? We wouldn't be mad at that. That would be a departure from the high-concept music videos of "Look What You Made Me Do" and "... Ready For It." "Gorgeous," like "Call It What You Want," is still up in the air.

With Reputation just a week away — a day after a surprise during ABC's TGIT block and a day before Saturday Night Live hosted by Girls Trip star Tiffany Haddish with Swift as the musical guest — there's plenty to look forward to in Swiftland.
