Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox has a wonderful talent for taking modern pop songs and reimagining them in new — or rather, old — musical eras. From their Jackie Wilson-inspired cover of "My Heart Will Go On" to their Motown-infused twist on Justin Bieber's "Sorry," the group has reimagined some of the best songs of this generation, giving them exciting new ranges of possibility and enjoyment.
Their new album, Swing the Vote, which was released today, promises to do more of the same.
The new album's highlights include a lounge jazz cover of Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up," a raucous ragtime cover of Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe," and this swinging cover of Gwen Stefani's 2005 hit, "Hollaback Girl."
